Memorial Day and other happenings

I don't know whether I can say I had a good Memorial Day weekend or not. Overall I guess it was good but with sick kids all weekend its hard not to see just that. I want to know why my kids are always sick on or around holidays when the doctor is not in his office? We spent the night at camp on Friday night and Konnor coughed allllllllll night.Which means I didn't sleep either. It all started on Thursday when he kept running a temperature but as soon as I would give him Motrin he would act better. Well Saturday he was whiny and coughed all day. Same goes for Sunday and Monday. Monday Randy went back to camp and The kids and I went to the parade. We did have a good time there. As you can see from the pictures. We always go with my family every year. Did I mention that Kaitlyn was sick too?Her asthma has been acting up and she was coughing all of the time and couldn't walk up the stairs without losing her breath. Well Monday night we went over to our friends the Heintzelman's for a cookout. We had a good time and Randy showed up not long after we got there which made it better. The picture I posted of the picnic was the only one that I took at there. It was funny because when I saw it Drew was yawning and Michael was tackling Maria. I didn't even notice when I snapped it. Well Tuesday morning I called the doctor and they got both Kaitlyn and Konnor in at the same time. Both of their oxygen levels were low and they had to give them both two breathing treatment just to bring the levels to borderline. Because of Konnor's temperature and his history with pnumonia they sent him for chest xrays and he is being treated for walking pnumonia and kaitlyn is just being treated for her asthma. So off to the store I went for 5 different prescriptions. I had to take them both back to the doctor today for rechecks and both of their lungs are sounding better. The steroids are doing the job I guess. I also had my OB check up today. I had to drink that nasty stuff for my glucose test 1 hour before my appointment and they would take my blood when I got there. Well on the way to the doctor there had been a wreck and they closed the highway down. Once I hit the traffic jam I only had 1 more mile to go so I inched my way down the road feeling like I was going to throw up and just knowing I was going to have to drink that stuff over again. In the meantime Konnor is yelling from the back seat" go mama go" I seriously thought I was going to lose my mind!I called the doctor and told them what was going on and they said they had a 15 minute window on the time to take my blood so just get as soon as I could. I made it with 5 minutes to spare after doing things on the highway I would never do.( like go down the emergency lane)I felt so rude!I just wanted to get out and explain to people why I was doing it.Gotta do what you gotta do right? At least I only gained 1 pound this month. That made me happy.Enough rambling for one post. Hopefully by the next one everyone will be felling better. knock on wood.8o)

Camp Cabin

I just wanted to show you a picture of our mansion in progress at camp. This is what has been taking up all of Randy's weekends and holidays and any other advailable time. Since I took this picture he has put up most of the siding so it already looks different than this picture. I am so proud of him. He has done such a good job. I cant wait to stay in it this year! Finished or not.

A busy week

It seems like forever since I last posted even though its been only a couple of days. It seems like I have hardly had time to sit down at the computer. You know what it is like coming home from vacation and trying to catch up. Konnor and I did take a break on Wednesday and went to the park where they recently installed a plash pad for the kids. We were there earlier in the year when they were testing it and Konnor did not like it at all but this time he went right out there and had a blast. Maybe because it was so hot outside. We will definitely go again and maybe take some friends next time. I don't know if its allergies or just a cold but Konnor has it and he cant get rid of it. He runs a temperature of about 102 and lays around and whines till I give him Motrin and then he perks up for a while. Then we start the whole process over again. I think I am going crazy because all he wants is me to hold him so then nothing gets done. This weekend its off to camp again to work on the cabin some more. I am gonna be home on Monday though so I can take the kids to the parade. I have too much kid in me to miss it.8o) Maybe next time I will post some pictures of the cabin. I haven't seen it since its early stages so I am excited to see the progress. Randy has really been working hard on it.I am ready for it to be done though!!!!!Well I hope everyone has a good holiday weekend!!! Happy Memorial Day!!!!!!!!

I am still trying to figure out this blogging thing. It wouldn't put up all of my pictures thus you get two posts. Sorry!

A good weekend

The guys(&little guys) waiting on their next ride
The kids doing what they love best

Well I am back. Everyone is feeling good. We had a really good time in Gatlinburg. We only went part of the way on Thursday night and stayed in KY. The girls got to go swimming at the motel which pleased them greatly. I thought Konnor would love the pool too, because last year he would jump right in if you weren't careful, but he parked his bottom on the lounge chair and wouldn't get off. Eventually he did venture over to the hot tub and stood on the top step of that. Friday morning we got up early and had breakfast then we were off for the lats three hours of the trip. We kinda just hung out with my sister and brother in law and their friends till noon when we could check into our motel room. We then walked to No way Jose's( a Mexican restaurant) for lunch. Then our wonderful husbands took the kids back to the motel for a nap and we girls went to the outlet malls to shop. Let me mention that shopping without kids is so nice. When you are used to going with three kids going by yourself is wonderful!!!! I did find a few bargains. To me a bargain is something under 5 bucks. I got the new baby some things at Baby Gap and I got Konnor and the baby matching Easter outfits for next year at the Children's Place for 3 bucks each. Is that a bargain or what? I did buy a Baby/diaper bag at Tommy Hilfiger for a good price but I loved it and couldn't pass it up.The guys came to pick us up and we headed to a bluegrass festival with my parents to walk around and check out the sights. The kids had fun on the big blow up slide and jumpy things( I am not sure what they are called). So after that we went to the motel and the guys played a game and we gals just chatted before we were all so tired we couldn't think straight. Saturday morning everyone( all 18 of us ) went to IHOP for a yummy breakfast. Have I ever mentioned that IHOP is my favorite breakfast place? I could eat there all of the time.We then headed to the Nascar go cart track where the guys were gonna spend the day. They all bought wristbands and headed to the tracks. We let the kids ride a few rides and watched the men act like boys.( at least they were having fun) After a while we headed back to motel to let the kids swim. Seven hours later the men decided it was time to leave. Yes, they were there alllllllllll day. They definitely got their moneys worth. So Saturday night we walked the strip in downtown and ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We did have a lot of fun packed into two days and it was so nice to see Bek and Chad and Chase again. We hadn't seen them since January. I am so glad they made the long trip up from FL to see all of us. I hope this post has not been boring but I figured I would give you a brief update on our weekend. I hope all of your was as good as ours.

Knock on Wood

Well so far today everyone is doing better. Two kids puking and doing other undesirable things is enough for this pregnant person. I almost lost it a couple of times myself. A good night of sleep( for the most part) was a good thing for everyone. The storm we had was a doozy and we lost our electricity for about 5 hours and for us that is tragic. Our family can't sleep without noise( Noisemakers,fans,ect...) so that part was a little hard but I was so tired it didn't really matter. At least no one was throwing up. Kaitlyn didn't even come home from school yesterday. She called on Jessica's cell phone on the bus and went home with her and spent the night with her. I don't think I blame her. The school just called to see how Megan was and when I saw the caller ID I about flipped. I knew for sure they were calling about Kaitlyn. Thanks the Lord they weren't.I feel the need for a nice relaxing weekend in Gatlinburg. Hopefully I can make it!!!!! One more day to go. Keep praying for us.

Sorry for the long delay in posting but it has been a busy couple of days. Someone told me to get back to posting because they wanted to know what was going on in our life.( Tim) Well after a busy Saturday and a busy Sunday I worked during the day on Monday at Taco Bell. Well Today Konnor woke up sick( throwing up) and the school called me to come get Megan a couple of hours after she got there. She was just fine when she got on the bus. So I now have two kids throwing up and I am about ready to go crazy. I just hope we get rid of all of it before Thursday night because we are supposed to got o Gatlinburg this weekend. Please pray that it will go away fast and nobody else gets it. Cya

Monday Musings

Well the tree are planted. They look so good!! I mainly just wanted to post a few of the pictures I took while the guys were planting. Of coarse I sat and supervised. I thought these pictures of Konnor trying to help were cute. He was watering with the little bit of water left in the hose and then he couldn't figure out why there wasn't any water coming out. I wanted to turn on the water so bad but I didn't. I am a nice mom.( most of the time) lol... the other picture is of the 3 hard working guys doing all of the work while I sat and took pictures.

An Eventful Weekend

I actually had a busy weekend for once. Can you believe it? Friday night we were all on hand to help my mother and father-in-law move so it was a late night getting all of their belongings stuffed into two moving trucks. I can't take to much credit because I did alot of sitting around supervising. How much can a pregnant person do anyways, right? Since I didn't get a nap after sleeping only 3 hours the night before I was glad when it was bedtime!! It felt good to sleep in Saturday too. Don't you love it when you can wake up on your own and not to an alarm clock? Saturday morning Randy and our friend Duane Heintzleman drove to Burlington,KY to a landscapers tree farm( I think that is what it was called) Anyways they came back with 5 trees. 4 for us and 1 for Katie and Duane. I can't wait to get them in the ground! ( I guess I should say I can't wait till Randy gets them in the ground) oops. Moving from an established neighborhood with mature trees to a new subdivision with no trees was weird. I hate not having any shade in our yard. It was funny when one of the girls commented a couple of weeks ago that they hadn't seen a squirrel in a long time. I guess that is one advantage to not having any trees. I don't have to worry with squirrels eating my tulip bulbs. So, randy and Duane unloaded the trees and headed back to the in-laws new house to unpack the trucks that were loaded up on Friday night. It was a long day for everyone but their new house is so pretty and everything got unpacked( no thanks to me) So I guess it ended up being a successful day. I then came home and cooked for Sunday dinner. I had all of Randy's family over so they could relax and not have to cook. ( I guess that was my contribution to the move)
Sunday was typical. My nap felt so good!!!!
Today I had my doctor visit for the month and I also had a little bit of running to do so I tried to combine it all into one trip. I ran into Joann Fabric to get some more material for a dress. My mom made me a dress and I liked it so much I wanted another one. This time I got pink instead of black so we will see how it turns out. I then went to the doctor's office and, much to my surprise, got right in. I won't say how much weight I gained but I will tell you this. To match the weight gain I had with Konnor I can only gain 1 more pound in the next 15 weeks. Think I can do it? I don't.LOL... I then went to the mall to return a shirt to Old Navy. I also made a stop in Motherhood Maternity. They have the coolest jean skirts!! Konnor also decided to pee in his pants in the middle of the store. What am I gonna do with the kid? Its a good thing I had extra clothes with me! Oh well by that time it was getting late so I headed to Sam's Club to get stuff for the church and to order a cake for the graduates banquet on Sunday evening. What a day right. So now I am at home catching up on laundry and picking up the house.( and catching up on my blogging) I have to find something for dinner too. Kaitlyn is sick today so I cancelled piano lessons tonight. At least that is one less thing I have to do. Oh well I think I broke the record for the longest post ever. I am gonna take a walk tonight so I wont gain that last pound. haha.......TTFN

mid-week update

I have to say this week has been a mite slower than the past few have been. ( thank the Lord)We have not had to go anywhere all week. We have for the most part stayed home. It has been great! I have actually spent some time at the scrapbook table. It has been so long since I had time to just sit down and scrap. I have done more cards this week but I still love that too. I like to make cards in advance so when an event pops up I don't have to rush to make a card. I actually want to start making birth announcements so I have one less thing to do when the baby comes. My problem is I have alot of good ideas in my head but I don't know how to get them on paper. I am so not creative! Oh well its off to work tonight so it will be a rushed evening and as of this minute I have no idea what to fix for dinner. Ahhhhh I will check in probably after the weekend has ended. It will be quite busy.
