As most of you know, our vacation ended quickly this year. I sit here at my desk reading every ones kind words and I want to thank you so much! This blog is going to be a place for me to put my thoughts. Sometimes happy sometimes sad. Not that I want the whole world to read them but for me to be able to go back and remember. If that bothers you I am sorry I wont feel hurt if you don't come back. I am a person who has a hard time talking about or showing my feelings but it is so easy for me to express them in writing. That being said I think I will go back and read previous posts and look at pictures for a few minutes. Today is going to be very hard for me. I want to remember the good times. A song I just listened to says" If home is where the heart is, I am so homesick"

Dear Heather, my heart is deeply hurting for your family. I do not personally know you or Randy but have read your blog many times, so I feel as though I do. I know your in laws and am friends with Martha, Suzanne, Joanne, and Amy. We recently lost our dear friends, the Biggers, here in SC and going through that deep pain with Brent has given us a new look into tragedy. I have no great words of wisdom for you but want you to know that as a fellow Christian wife/mommy, I have cried many tears for you! I do not understand the great loss of life I have seen since January 9th, but I am so thankful for the hope of Heaven!!!! It just became sweeter, didn't it?! You'll be on my mind as time progresses and more importantly you are not forgotten by the One Who loves the widows and fatherless!

I am the same way Heather. It doesn't bother me in the least, just open your heart up and write. I did that a lot when I was going through a hard time a few years ago. I even wrote my prayers. Its a good release. Please call me if there is anything I can do for you, you guys have been continually in my thoughts and prayers. I will be there tomorrow.

Oh, Heather, I was hoping you would feel like writing. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers many times a day. Words seem very weak in expressing how very much I care. We are planning on being at the funeral tomorrow. David doesn't get off work in time for the viewing this evening. I pray that God's peace will surround you and the kids today and always.

Oh Heather! My heart is breaking for you! I am so sorry! I do not have any words to take away your deep pain. I am praying for you almost constantly that God will comfort and uphold you and your family. If you need a listening ear you are more than welcome to give me a call. We were hoping to come and pay our respects but Danny just started a new job and we are not able to make the drive. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Words are not adequate...just wanted to tell you how sorry that I am. Don't know you that well, but my heart is hurting for you and your precious family. We are praying for you...
Blogging/writing out your thoughts may give some outlet for you during this most difficult time in your life. If it helps...DO IT! PLEASE know that we care and that we will continue to pray for you and your family.

Oh Heather! My heart is breaking for you! I cannot even begin to imagine what you are feeling! I wish I had adequate words to say to help your pain. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers that God will give you grace and strength as you go thru today and tomorrow. We had hoped to come and pay our respects, but circumstances will not allow it.
If you need a listening ear please feel free to call me anytime. I will continue to frequent your blog and share your memories with you.

Heather,
My husband and I are friends of Rob and Martha. We want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Although we cannot imagine what life is like for you right now, we are trusting our Heavenly Father to bring comfort and direction. Always hold on to the beautiful memories, and let them fill you with courage.

Hello Heather,
You don't know me but I am good friends with Sara Holden. As soon as we heard about Randy'd accident Saturday afternoon our family started praying and I was up until we heard the news Sunday morning. I want you to know our family and our church family is holding your family in prayer. I have no words of wisdom to give you....our 5 year old daughter has cancer and I have found that noone really has the answers for big questions. I do know that the great big God who has helped me in my times of despair and grief will help you too. We will continue bringing you and your family before His throne and trust His great big arms of comfort will reach around you all!

Dear Heather,

Please feel free to express your heart. I know that it will help to ease the pain. Those dark moments come when things settle down. It is so comforting to be able to share your heart with those around you and then to receive so much love back. The funeral was beautiful. I got a chance to know Randy better! What a great person he was. We will continue to hold you and your children up in our prayers.
Love you, Lisa

Dear Heather,
Just wanted to send you this message to let you know that we love you and are praying for you everyday! Our hearts nearly stopped beating the day we got the news of Randy's going to Heaven! Some things we will never understand - there are no answers to the questions! We just have to remember that God is good - even in the terribly dark times - He is still good! He knows everything about you - the things that are around the corner, over the mountains, through the valleys - and He loves you! He has a plan to take care of you and to help you take care of your family. Lean hard on Him and your family and friends! If there would ever be anything that we could do for you - we would be there as fast as the wheels could get there! We love you so much and are praying for you and the children!

Much love and prayers,
Jan and Henry Miller

Heather,
I don't think we've ever met, but we have friends in common. I just wanted to know that I have prayed for you this week through all the hard, hard days and I will continue to pray for you in all those to come. My husband died suddenly a number of years ago, leaving me with three children to raise and lots of life to handle on my own. So, I at least have an idea of what you're feeling and going through. God will be faithful to be with you at each step and each turn in the road.

Heather, just want to let you know that we are continuing to remember you and your family in our prayers. I never had the opportunity to know Randy all that well. I do remember the year I went to youth camp and you and he were talking on walkie talkies late one night. The service for Randy was a beautiful tribute to his life. I feel as if I know him a little better now. Please continue to write, I won't be offended. Love and prayers...Regina
