Candy Anyone?

We had a fun and friendly time getting candy this year. Thanks to Janella for letting us gather at her house. The kids had so much fun going together. Enjoy the pictures.

21 Reasons Why Sarah Palin Should NOT be Elected Vice-President of the United States :
1) She is a Woman.
2) She does not believe in killing babies, born or unborn.
3) She is NOT endorsed by Susan Sarandon, Jane Fonda, Rosie O'Donnell, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Geraldine Ferrara, Barbara Walters, Helen Thomas, Ellen DeGeneris, Ted Kennedy, Keith Olberman, Chris Matthews, Barbra Streisand or David Letterman.
4) She is married to a Foreigner--a species called 'Native American'--meaning her five children are half-breeds.
5) She has on more than one occasion expressed PRIDE in the United States of America .
6) Unlike decent, self-respecting Democrats everywhere, she has a 17-year-old daughter who became pregnant out of wedlock.
7) She is a member of the American Riflemen's Association / actually owns firearms / and knows how to use them.
8) She has killed a moose, among other animals--and spreads the propaganda that it is hunters, through their license fees, that keep American wildlife from becoming extinct.
9) She often does her own grocery and other household shopping.
10) She drives a car, and flies a plane.
11) She chose to give birth to a defective child, rather than allow a skilled Abortion Doctor to kill it for her.
12) She refuses to apologize for seeking the termination of an Alaskan State Trooper just because he applied a gentle taser to his 12-year-old stepson (who, of course, happened to be Gov. Palin's nephew).
13) She is inexperienced. And she refuses to admit that her duties as the chief executive in the State of Alaska are nowhere near equal to those of a public servant who was once a Community Organizer, or that of a United States Senator who has carried the awesome burden of overseeing a staff of political appointees.
14) She has a son who is in the U.S.. Military, deployed to the Persian Gulf--probably making her prejudiced against all the peaceful Muslims in that part of the world.
15) She is on Oprah Winfrey's 'Do Not Invite' list.
16) She professes to be a Christian, but has no 'Spiritual Adviser'-- even though Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who served Sen. Obama in that capacity for 20 years, is now available.
17) She isn't really a 'beauty queen,' as advertised. She was only the runner-up in the Miss Alaska Contest; and Alaska is not a very populous state, anyway.
18) The Obama-Biden ticket is favored over McCain-Palin, 80% to 20%, by our friendly allies in France.
19) Her children are not properly trained in hygiene. (Did you see her 7-year-old daughter shamelessly lick the entire palm of her hand at the Convention, then use it to slick down the hair of her little brother?)
20) She is of mixed English, German, and Irish ancestry--and you KNOW you can't trust the Limey's, Krauts, or Micks.
21) Back to No. 1: This is the one that really galls modern, liberal 'feminists.' Gov. Palin is a Woman, a female-type wife and mother, who shaves her legs, wears makeup, dresses smartly, often cooks meals for her family, doesn't give a hoot about the National Organization for Women or the all-powerful Teachers Unions--and obviously will never, ever fit in as a member of the Washington Elite.

Do we want a person like this to be the Vice President of the Unites States?
You bet we do !!!

I got to see Joe the Plumber

They finally arrive
Joe the Plumber Our Congressman Rob Poortman

KonnorThis old guy is a WWII vet who took a liking to Kade. Kade wouldn't let the man hold him so he just held his hand. A really nice man. My mom is with them.
Yesterday I got an email saying that Joe the plumber was going to be going to several small businesses in the state of Ohio campaigning for John McCain. One of the places was a pool store only 5 minutes from my house. It wasn't during nap time so I called my mom and we decided to go. It was a small thing, probably less than 100 people( including all of the reporters and journalist) They pulled the big victory bus right up in the parking lot and set up a podium. I stood only about 6-7 feet away from the podium. It was so cool. There was about 5 small business owners on the bus and they just talked about Obama's tax hike on small business owners and how that would affect them. Their main point was" Get out and vote and vote for McCain!!!" It was a fun experience and I am glad I went.

Who are you voting for?

Only one more week to go.

A real belated Bithday

I feel so bad that I got so busy and didnt post a bithday post for Kaitlyn.

Its hard to believe this is the last year before I have a teenager. Kaitlyn is such a sweet girl and is very thoughtful of others. She is such a big help to me! I hope you had a happy 12th birthday Katie! I love you!

Last weekend

Kids camp out
Last weekend we attended the annual kids church camp out at Steve and Rebecca Miller's house. It is something the kids look forward to every year and every year it gets better. This year was no exception. Randy had to work so he missed it this year. Kaitlyn and Megan camped out but I took the boys home to our warm beds. It was freezing out there! The kids started the night out with scavenger hunts and obstacle courses. Mr Mike planned a pie eating contest for the kids and the "big" kids. There was a hay ride too. The evenings menu was hot dogs and a bunch of different soups. Duane H. and Drew M. constructed a big screen for the kids to view Veggie Tales on. A movie and popcorn on the lawn was a great ending to a great night! Thanks Steve,Rebecca,Mike and Sue for the wonderful night!!

MESS OF THE DAY

I just wanted to post Kade's latest mess. My baking list this morning looked like this:

24 bags filled with 3 cookies each for the bake sale at school. (has to be at school by this after noon)

2 pans of brownies for Kaitlyn to take to school for her birthday

1 big chocolate chip cookie to take to the kids camp out tomorrow for Kaitlyn's birthday

Well while I was making the cookie dough I heard a pop and Kade had either dropped or thrown a pop can and, yep, you guessed it. It blew up all over my pantry and kitchen floor. Everything had to be pulled out and washed. The walls were even covered. Is anyone up for babysitting? LOL Cya! I am off to finish cleaning.

Liked this song

I heard this song today and loved it. So, I thought I would share it. I am so sick of politics right now and when I saw this it made me smile and I hope it does the same for you.

I am not a country music fan or a Hank Williams Jr. fan so please take that into consideration when watching this.

I do really like Sarah Palin though!!!!

My weekend and Monday

Just thinking
How was your weekend? My sister in law Suzanne and I went went garage sale shopping and goodwill hopping. I am so excited. I think I have both of my boys outfitted for the winter. Other than a few pairs of church pants that I am still in the market for they are set. I had saved up around 40.oo and I came home with 3 huge shopping bags full of stuff. I also got Randy 2 shirts from the Salvation Army. Both are very nice casual shirts made by Abrcrombie and Fitch and Nautica. The only thing I got for myself was a brand new picture frame that I had been looking at new and never wanted to take the money for. It has openings for 3 5x7's and I only had to pay 1.00 for it. woo hoo. After we did all that(with 5 kids to boot) I headed off to find Randy at the church. He was there working on the building project. Needless to say I ended up staying and spreading straw on all of the newly planted grass seed. The only thing I didn't know is that I am allergic to straw and that night my eyes started acting all weird and Sunday morning I had a horrible sinus headache and I had to unglue my eyes when I got out bed to get ready for church. Ahhhhh I don't think I will doing that again.

Today I have been busy. The first thing I did was get started on my laundry. I really don't know why we dirty more clothes on the weekend than on any other day of the week but you couldn't even walk through my laundry room this morning. Plus I had all of the clothes that I had purchased on Saturday to wash. I am so proud of myself though. I have almost got it all licked. I even have it all folded and put away.( That is one of my things I have trouble doing I can do all of my laundry but it will sit in the baskets and not get put away. I have been trying harder to not do that.) I also baked 2 loaves of Amish friendship bread and 2 loaves of sourdough bread.

Kade didn't get into too much today. I only found him in the middle of the table 2 or 3 times. Once though he was getting ready to dump over the tea jug that was half full. eeeeach. I guess he was thirsty.

Why wont kids play with any of the toys you buy them? My kids have tons of toys and they wont play with any of them. Kade would rather trash my kitchen and hang on my legs. 8o) Don't cha just love them? Oh well I am so ready for bed. Tootles...

MISC....

I was uploading a few of my pictures back into my Kodak software and found a couple that had to post. Enjoy!
Konnor decided to make himself some strawberry milk. I don't think the mixture was quite right! LOL Yes that is the milk on the top and syrup on the bottom.
The morning I found Kade in the middle of the kitchen table. He couldn't figure out how to get down. Kade was hungry so he thought he would help himself to some cereal. Super Golden Crisp and cookie crunch.( I buy the most healthy cereal for my kids.LOL)

Konnor's Birthday

The wonderful marshmallow shooter. 8o)
The kiddos and Jackson

Just wanted to report in and post pictures of Konnor's cake that I did yesterday.( thanks to my friend Michele for helping me find ideas) I didn't do anything fancy but he liked it. He really like helping smash the cars with a hammer to put on it. ( Hopefully he doesn't try that with all of his cars)
Konnor has been begging for a gun that shoots marshmallows ever since he saw one in a magazine. That is what Randy and I got him and now I am picking up marshmallows everywhere. Oh well.
All of the grandma's and grandpa's came over and Aunt Suzanne,Uncle Scott, and Jackson came too. It was a fun night.

Happy Birthday to Konnor

One of the few hospital pictures we have. Notice the IV still in his hand. Still in the hospital. He is 6 days old here.
Four years ago today God gave us a special gift. We named him Konnor Munro and he weighed in at 8 lbs and 9 oz.
I don't have very many brand new pictures of him because he was born with pneumonia and was taken to the special care nursery and was there for over a week before we could take him home.
He is a very sweet and loving boy and we love him so much! We love you Konnor and are so glad God gave you to us. You will always be Mommy's big boy!! xxooxxoo

I'm Back

Yes, I finally have my computer up and running. But there are no programs installed so I don't have any pictures to post yet. I have to install my Kodak software before I can upload any of my pictures that I have on camera. I have tons.
I have so many things to do today. It looks like something blew up in my house. I am babysitting my friends little boy,who is 4 months older than Kade, so I am chasing 2 little boys around today. I also have to figure out what kind of cake I am going to make for Konnor's birthday tomorrow. He wants a monster truck cake. Shouldn't be to hard I just have to take the time to sit down and figure it out. For some reason I am always waiting till the last minute to do anything. Well duty calls. Hopefully next time I post I will have some pictures to share. TTFN...

Thursday, October 2, 2008

I just wanted to let you know that you have not seen anything new because I still don't have a working computer. You don't realize how much you use a computer till you don't have one. I am going nuts. No deal to find, no coupons to print, no bills to pay( I wonder if the bank will take that excuse), no email to check, you would think that my house would be in tip top shape. I think that is impossible with tow little boys who like to tear things up faster than what i can put it together. Kade new thing is climbing now. Yesterday I was upstairs doing my hair and I heard him shrieking downstairs. I yelled at Konnor to leave him alone and recieved the answer " Im not doin nuthin" Well I walked downstairs and found Kade standing in the middle of the kitchen table. I asked the dumb question" how did he get up there?" Konnor promptly said" he climbed" . Like duh mom.LOL I have a picture but I will have to wait till my computer is workable to post it. Have a good day!!
